Ordering & payment
Checkout, coupons, receipts and tracking.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed securely through Stripe. Your card details never touch our website. At market stalls we also take cash and contactless card.
Is it safe to pay on your website?
Yes. The site is encrypted (HTTPS) and every payment is handled by Stripe, one of the world's largest payment providers. We never see or store your card number.
Do I need an account to order?
No. Checkout takes about a minute – just your name, email and phone. You'll get an email with a link to view your order and its status at any time.
How do I track my order?
Use the View your order button in your confirmation email, or go to Track an order and enter your order number (e.g. TTGB-1024) and the email you ordered with. The page shows every step – received, baking, ready, on its way – and the courier tracking number once it's dispatched.
Can I use a coupon code?
Yes – enter it in the Coupon code box at checkout; the discount shows straight away. Some codes are personal: your newsletter welcome code only works with the email address you subscribed with, and once per customer. Join the newsletter for 10% off your first box.
Can I send treats as a gift with a note?
Absolutely. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and put your message in the Notes for us box – we hand-write it on a card and tuck it inside. No prices are included in the parcel.
Will I get a receipt or invoice?
Your confirmation email is your receipt and lists every item, delivery and discount. Need it addressed to a business? Reply to the email and we'll send an updated copy.
Delivery & pickup
Free Hamilton pickup, local delivery or courier anywhere in NZ.
What are my delivery options?
- Hamilton pickup – free. Collect from our home kitchen in Hamilton once we email you that it's ready.
- Hamilton delivery – $10. Hand delivered within Hamilton city; we'll arrange a time with you.
- Nationwide courier – $17 (no signature) or $20 (signature required), anywhere in New Zealand.
How long does it take?
Each product shows its lead time ("usually ready within 2 days") – everything is baked to order in small batches. Courier delivery then takes 1–3 business days depending on where you are; rural addresses can take a day or two longer. You can choose a preferred date at checkout and we'll time the bake around it.
How does pickup work?
Choose Hamilton pickup at checkout. When your order is ready we email you the pickup address with a map link and suggested times – please wait for that email before coming over. Pickup is contactless-friendly and takes a minute.
Can I track my parcel?
Yes. When your parcel is dispatched you get an email with the NZ Post tracking number, and your order page updates as it moves through baking, ready and shipped.
Will my treats survive the courier?
We only courier items that travel well – chocolate bars, cookies, slices, stuffed dates – and pack them snugly. Cakes, cupcakes and fresh desserts are marked "Hamilton pickup / delivery only" on their page and won't be offered a courier option. On very hot summer days we may hold chocolate orders back a day; we'll let you know.
Do you deliver outside Hamilton?
By courier, yes – anywhere in New Zealand. Hand delivery is Hamilton city only. For a wedding or event elsewhere in the Waikato, get in touch and we'll see what we can arrange.
Market stalls & pre-booking
Find us at markets around the Waikato – and reserve your treats before we sell out.
Where can I find your stall?
What is pre-booking and how does it work?
Each stall has its own menu. Pre-book means you pay online now and we set your treats aside with your name on them – no risk of missing out on the Dubai chocolate. Pre-booking closes before the market (there's a live countdown on the stall page); after that you can still buy on the day while stock lasts. Just give your name at the stall to collect.
Are stall menus different from the online shop?
Often, yes – we bring a limited menu to each stall, usually a few favourites and something new or seasonal that isn't on the website. Prices at the stall are the same as the pre-booking price.
I pre-booked but couldn't make it to the stall – what now?
Don't worry, you won't miss out. Open your order link and choose one of three options: collect at our next stall, pick up from our kitchen in Hamilton for free, or have it couriered (you only pay the courier fee – the treats are already paid for). Because everything is baked fresh for the market we can't cancel or refund an uncollected pre-order, but we'll always get it to you.
How can I pay at the stall?
Cash, contactless card (tap), or scan a QR code to pay by card on your phone. Pre-booked orders are already paid – just collect.
Can you bring a stall to our market or event?
We'd love to. Markets, festivals, school galas, workplace events – send us the details (date, venue, expected crowd) and we'll reply within a couple of days with availability and a suggested menu. We need a 3 × 3 m site and no power.
Custom cakes
Birthdays, weddings, kids' parties and everything in between.
How do I order a custom cake?
Two ways. Use the cake designer to pick a size, flavour and add-ons – it prices as you go and you pay online. For something more bespoke (tiers, sculpted cakes, specific themes) send an enquiry with the occasion, date, guest numbers and any inspiration photos, and we'll quote.
How much notice do you need?
At least a week for most cakes; two to three weeks for weddings, tiered cakes or busy periods like Christmas and Diwali. Short notice? Ask – if we can fit it in, we will.
What size should I order?
Our sizing & serving guide shows how many each size serves for coffee-size and dessert-size slices, with cutting diagrams, plus a quick guest calculator. As a rule of thumb a 6″ cake serves 8–12 and an 8″ serves 20–24.
Can I choose flavours, fillings and decorations?
Yes – each design lists its flavours and add-ons (fresh flowers, toppers, a message, extra layers, eggless or vegan options). Anything not listed, just mention it in the notes and we'll confirm whether it's possible before baking.
Can a cake be couriered?
No – cakes and cupcakes are pickup or Hamilton delivery only so they arrive as they left the kitchen. For pickup, bring a flat space in the car (the boot or footwell, not a seat or lap) and keep the air-con on in summer.
How should I store and serve the cake?
Keep it refrigerated and take it out 30–60 minutes before serving so the sponge softens. Use a hot, dry knife for clean slices. Leftovers keep for three days in the fridge. Full care tips are in the care guide.
Our treats & allergens
What's in them, who they suit, and how to keep them at their best.
What is Dubai chocolate?
Our signature bar: a thick chocolate shell filled with pistachio cream and crisp, buttery kunafa (shredded pastry) – the crunch is the point. We make it in small batches in milk, dark and white chocolate, plus seasonal twists. It's the first thing to sell out at every stall.
Are your treats halal?
Yes. Our treats are made with halal ingredients, so everyone at the table can enjoy them. If you have a question about a specific product, just ask and we'll happily walk you through what's in it.
Where are your treats made?
Right here in New Zealand. Everything is baked by hand in our Hamilton kitchen – proudly local, start to finish – then picked up, delivered or couriered fresh to you.
What kind of ingredients do you use?
Premium ones – real butter, quality chocolate and proper pistachio, with no shortcuts on what goes in. Every product page lists its full ingredients and allergens.
Do you offer vegan, eggless or gluten-free options?
Eggless: many of our treats are eggless – look for the crossed-egg icon on the product page. Vegan: available on custom cakes (choose it under "Dietary") and on a small selection of treats. Gluten-free: not at the moment – everything is baked in a kitchen that uses wheat flour daily, so we can't make a gluten-free promise we'd be comfortable standing behind.
What about allergens?
Every product lists its ingredients and allergens on its page. Our kitchen handles nuts (including pistachio and peanuts), dairy, gluten, eggs and sesame, so we can't guarantee any item is free of them. If you have a severe allergy, please get in touch before ordering.
How should I store my treats?
Chocolate & dates: cool, dry place (the fridge in summer) – best within 2 weeks. Cookies & slices: airtight container, best within 5 days; 10 seconds in the microwave brings cookies back to life. Cakes & desserts: refrigerate and enjoy within 3 days.
Why do my treats look slightly different from the photos?
Because they're made by hand, in small batches, by a person – not a machine. Drizzles, toppings and shapes vary a little from bake to bake. The flavour doesn't.
Do you cater weddings, corporate events or large orders?
Yes – dessert tables, favours, boxed corporate gifts and bulk orders of our treats. Contact us with the date, numbers and budget and we'll put a plan together. For bringing a stall to your event, see Invite us.
Changes, cancellations & refunds
Life happens – here's how we handle it.
How can I cancel or change my order?
Within 24 hours of ordering you can cancel or change it at no charge – reply to your confirmation email or contact us. Once baking has started an order can't be cancelled, as everything is made fresh for you. Stall pre-orders can't be cancelled after pre-booking closes.
What is your return policy?
Because our products are perishable we can't accept returns for change of mind. If your order arrives incorrect, spoiled or damaged, tell us within 24 hours with a photo and we'll make it right with a replacement or refund. Full details are in our returns & refund policy.
How do I report a problem with my order?
Email [email protected] or call 028 2550 2150 (calls only) with your order number and a quick description – photos help. We prioritise these and sort them quickly.
How long do refunds take?
We process refunds the same day we agree one. Stripe returns the money to your card within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
